can not, cannot就是can的否定模式，美国习惯分隔些，英国一般连写。cannot是“不成以”，而can not是“可以不”。cannot和can not都是书面语，可是can not语气加倍剧烈。

can not和cannot的区分

1、意思不同

cannot(一个单词)是缩写can't的展开模式，意思是不成以。

而can not意思是可以不。

2、行使场景不同

cannot用于书面语，较为正式。

例如：If this can be tolerated, what cannot?

是可忍也，孰不成忍也？

而can not用于口语，较量随便。

例如：I can not give the actual figures.

我不可举出实际数字。

3、行使模式不同

can not 用于强调，当not被用于强调时，这时是必要推敲用can not而不是cannot。

例如：I can not tolerate laziness！

我不可收容忍怠懈。

cannot和can not的用法

一、cannot

1、和too的搭配用法

cannot …too… "不成能把某事做过火；决不会…太"，与can never…too同义。

例如：

But cannot too inflexible, because this play is comedic style.

但又不可太刻板，因为这部戏是喜剧气概。

2、cannot but

前面加动词实情、动名词等，都暗示“禁不住，禁不住，不行不，不可不”的意思。

例如：I cannot help admiring the picture whenever I look at it.

不管什么时辰看到这幅画，我都禁不住要赞赏它。

二、can not

can not but + 动词实情，意思是不可不；不行不；只好；却不可不；那末你就不可不。

例如：

We can not but allow you200 cases

since inquiries are so large.

我们只能给你们200箱因为询盘很多。
