Amount既是不可数名词，又是可数名词。表示总数、总额、总值的时候是不可数名词，如：You will receive a bill for the full amount.表示数量的时候是可数名词，如：We've had an enormous amount of help from people.

amount的用法

一、amount用作名词

1.amount用于表示“量”“额”，如重量、金额等。

2.amount of后一般接不可数名词，有时也可接复数可数名词，此名词被视为某一“总量”或“综述”。

二、amount用作动词

1.amount用作动词的基本意思是“合计,共计”,引申可指“等同,接近”。

2.amount是不及物动词,常与介词to连用。
